Hello my friend,

Welcome to my homepage! My name is Yaxi Lei (Kerry). I completed by Bachelor’s Degree of Strategic and Corporate Communication with a minor in Analytics in December 2019 at Chapman University. In May 2022, I received my Master’s degree in Business Analytics from University of San Diego. I currently work as a data analyst in the United States.

I have a great passion for data analytics. There are so much valuable information and amazing patterns in big data. By analyzing and exploring the great things under data, I gain a lot of pleasure. Nowadays, data becomes more and more important for business, education, and even individuals. What we can do with data to benefit the society is what I am always thinking about. As a result, I set my career goal as using the power of data to make some change. No matter the change is to a small business, a field, or a society, it is an accomplishment for myself.

To achieve my goal, I have done a lot of preparations. I have skills in R, Python, SQL, SPSS, Excel and many other data-related software. I also completed several projects using some of these tools and generated reports which can actually benefit a company (More details in the “Project” section). I believe learning never ends and what I knew is just a very small part of data science. As a consequence, I may pursue a PHD degree to learn more about data science and work as a data analyst at the same time. I hope I could become a professional data analyst in the future.
